HOW MUCH ARE YOU LIKELY TO PAY FOR A COMPLETE SET OF F.W. BOREHAM BOOKS?

IT’s very rare that you’ll ever see a complete set of FWB books for sale. After all, how many people have even seen an original copy of From England To Mosgiel (1903) or Loose Leaves (1902) – let alone own one? While many of us have replicas of The Whisper of God (1901) not many of us have the privilege of owning an original – and not many of us ever will – as they are fetching up to $US1450! Most collectors are missing one or two of the pre- The Luggage of Life volumes, which makes finding a complete set even more unlikely. But if you were able to stumble across an opportunity to own a complete set, what would be a fair a reasonable market value for them?

The most prized editions to any FWB book collector’s library, would be first editions. Some the Dr. Boreham’s volumes had well over 20 editions each! This is good news for those of us who also enjoying reading Mr. Boreham’s books, as it has kept the prices down on these more readily available volumes.

If you content to build a library of F.W. Boreham books which were not necessarily first editions, it would probably end up costing you around $8,000. Little wonder then, that several preachers have publicly stated on numerous occasions that if anyone ever finds an F.W. Boreham (original) book for sale in a second-hand bookstore, they should buy it – and if they don’t want it, send it to them and he’ll buy it off them for whatever they paid!

You may of course be wondering what all the fuss is about. When you find your first FWB book lying in some garage sale or second-hand book store, buy it, read it, and marvel that it’s taken you so long to read your first F.W. Boreham collection of essays. Because, I think I can guarantee that it won’t be your last!

I have an excellent set of FW Boreham books, mostly First Editions. missing the typical pre- The Luggage of Life volumes, with a reprint of The Whisper of God.
All the other rare volumes are present. Where can I sell? They have served me well over the years, but late in life its time to let someone else enjoy.

Hi Peter, you could make a post on the F.W. Boreham Facebook page. Several others have recently sold their sets on this page.

I have never read them, but if they are as great as it is said, it is like the bible. It should not be sold but shared. Money is nothing when it comes to spiritual enlightment. We are to caught up on ” how much is this worth”. I would love to have them. Not because of the worth, but because I love God and Jesus.

I just finished your ‘The Blue Flame’ reprint of fw Boreham. I LOVE it!

Not only does he have such a unique style which gets you thinking about the topics presented, it keeps you from just ‘speed reading’ through its entirety. The feel of the books you print are my version of ‘perfect’ fit to the hand, with a smooth texture.

I sincerely hope you’re able to get the restriction off of amazon, so that you can continue to print the 30 or so books you’ve readied for us!
